How in the heck is Hayden Adams Hornorable Mention? This makes no sense, the best 8 man player in the state is Honorable Mention in the league. This is a joke.

This sure is a joke. How is it that CPS wins the state championship but only has one kid on first team offense??? Maybe a conspiracy between some of the other coaches.

The selection process was in the hands of the coaches so that would mean that the jealousy of those individuals was so obvious. Hayden Adams was so superior to those selected it is something those small minded coaches will remember for the rest of their coaching day. If you watched the Championship game on TV you saw the best team with the best players deliver the Championship that is how it was the entire season except for the game Hayden did not see action due to injury. What those coaches gained by their actions was NO respect. Bring on Bill Brown and some real integrity.

Unfortunately for the players on CPS, I think the conduct of their coach ended up hurting his players.

Make no mistake that it was the actions of the CPS football coach that cost his players 1st team honors. Never have I seen a coach act more like a child in my entire life.

Sad for the players but the reality is the coach NEVER took a snap and yet the players are the victims. That is what it comes to in the wonderful world of high school sports. Kids work hard are deserving but denied because the COACH is a jerk. Where is the justice, fairness in the hearts of the other coaches or are they just hypocritical jerks. I hope they look in the mirror and answer that question and are haunted by their decision for a long time because it is so unfair it hurts EVERYONE.

I'm curious, what did the CPS coach do? I read an article, he seemed a little arrogant but was there more?

Winning is sometimes just enough to cause the out coached coaches to get nasty. He won ,was arrogant and the players suffered, I guess it is NOT always about the kids

I would be willing to bet it would be hard to find one person who had a boy on the CPS football team that would say Tim Brabant was a bad coach. He was cocky, arrogant, and a lot of fun to watch. I have never met a coach who won, who was not that way. He brought a lot of excitment to a program that was on its way out. He taught the kids that winning should be a goal, and not just a suprise. I will tell anyone, if I had to pick my son winning every award out there or being coached by Tim, I would pick being coached by Tim evey time and so would my son Hayden. He not only taught my son a lot about how to win but how to be a good peron as well. My son will tell you that Tim is the best coach he has ever had and my whole family would agree. In my opinion I would say Hayden was the best QB in the league and so would other people, but that is so unimportant when compared to what the CPS team did this year. So to all people who pick to knock Tim because maybe he scored too many points, or onside kicked too many times or whatever else you choose to hate him for....Get over it....STATE CHAMPS...need I say more...

Right on brother. Sour grapes and jealousy are the driving forces that motivated those coaches to do the dishonorable thing but in the end there is only one STATE CHAMPION and that cannot be voted out by those who hurt every player in the conference by not selecting the best players for the honor they earned.

I couldn't agree more with Lance Adams. They played as a team and won as a team. Individual awards mean nothing when they are voted on by a bunch of jealous coaches. Besides nobody will remember who won those awards anyways but they will remember who won the state championship. Tim is a great friend, coach, and role model and I wouldn't pick anybody else to coach my son.

We know the coaches who played the political cards to get their players the undeserved honors. Not one of them has the character to coach and that will be how they are remembered by all, especially by their own players. The kids know the truth and will not excuse it away. The shame will be remembered...... what a sorry legacy.

How can you blame the CPS coach for his kids not getting picked? If the other coaches vote, and he can't vote for his own kid then how is he to blame.
It is like the Tebow situation years ago. Of course he was the league MVP but he did not get it. Shame on the other coaches for not voting with their hearts and minds.
