Doesn't look like they did Ubly any favors.... Gonna be a tough District.

Division 7 seems to be the most competitive of all the Divisions

Nouvel, Saint Francis, Mendon, Ubly... yeah I'd say Division 7 is quite competitive.

I don't get the feeling this is your typical powerhouse Nouvel football team this season, but that being said, Nouvel is still Nouvel and it will take a heck of an effort to knock the Panthers out of the districts.

Going to be hard for Ubly this year. Interested to see what Reese does.

This is the best thing to happen for county sports fans. Ubly gets tested by teams we know and will support if they move on. Great

Hoping for a Reese Ubly matchup. Then we can finally put to doubts who the best team is in the Thumb. Reese took a step back the past two weeks but they had a bad week against BCAS and played a very good higher class team in Ovid Elsie. I'm hoping they can pull it off against Nouvel and Ubly takes care of business against USA so I can see a potential Greater Thumb Conference Championship game

Congrats to the Bearcat 13...tough District, but the 13 should prevail. Go Ubly!

wow, kinda weird seeing Reese and Nouvel in D7. Report out on Nouvel is that they lost starting QB Friday night. Maybe a break for Reese. I think winner of this district is going to be either Reese or Nouvel. Ubly just doesn't have the team they've had the previous couple of years. And wing T is a no brainer for Reese to defend. Not quite sure how good Nouvel is at defending the T. Friday night's game was against a T team (a D4 one at that) for Nouvel and they didn't do that well. Maybe the winner of the Ubly/USA matchup would rather face Nouvel than Reese! I think Ubly can thank some of their past post season success this decade to playing teams that never had to face a "T" before. However, when they did meet up with a team that could defend it (TCSF and Hudson come to mind) they had their hands full. The outcome wasn't so good.

Having Nouvel drop down to D7 is kind of disheartening for some of our area teams. Definatelty going to be an uphill climb from now on.

I think Deckerville is in trouble right out of the gate. With their extremely poor pass defense, a throwing team is not what they want to see. However, it would be quite interesting to see a BCAS-Deckerville matchup. Don't think that's going to happen as I see both of these teams doing a one and done.

So, I don't see any area team going beyond week #2 of the playoffs. Sad to say, as it's been quite a run. Maybe a year off will do us all some good.

Deckerville will struggle against Parkway's passing game. It also doesn’t help that Cody Ross is out for season.

Good to see that all area teams are in the same districts. Area bragging rights are on the line.

BCAS and Deckerville in Div8 R3D2.
Even with Ross out and a porous passing defense I see an Eagle/Cougar final. All Saints advances.

Ubly,USA and Reese in Div7 R2D2.
Nouvel will come to Ubly. Play like they did against Deckerville, Ubly wins. Play like they did against NH, Nouvel wins.

Vassar and Sandusky in Div6 R2D2
I see the 'skins sneaking into the district final, but Montrose will win.

BWAC vs TVE in Div5 R4D1.
TVE proves they are the better conference. Cards over Birch Run in the final.

Cros-Lex in Div4 R3D2.
Pioneers top Lamphere but Marine City is a Div4 heaveyweight. MC ends Pioneer season.

Division 8
R3-D2: Deckerville in a squeaker over Parkway Christian.
R3-D2: BCAS gets revenge on MLS.
Final: BCAS may have the best athlete in the Thumb in QB Drew Janer, who will lead them to victory in the GTC vs NCTL matchup.

Division 7

R2-D2: USA keeps it close for a half before Ubly pulls away
R2-D2: Thumb nemesis Nouvel takes down a reeling Reese team.
Final: According to reports, Nouvel really struggled with the wing T of Edwardsburg. If that is the case, then I'll take Ubly.

Division 6
R2-D2: Montrose is better than Frankenmuth, and we saw what the Eagles did to the Vulcans in week 9.
R2-D2: Another tough matchup for the GTC. The GAC teams are just better this year.
Final: Montrose over Beecher in an all GAC final

Division 5
R4-D1: Millington takes out one of two BWAC tri-champs in this district while......
R4-D1: .....Birch Run takes down the other, setting up an all TVCE district final.
Final: Birch Run gets revenge for an early season loss.

Reese started a freshman at QB Friday night. It was ugly and it might be ugly Friday night against Nouvel.
