Ubly is by far the best team in the area. They have the best player, best coach, best supporting cast. Look for them to make a strong run in the play offs.

I would save that post for next Sat.

Doesn't Bad Axe have 8 wins?

To the first comment about ubly being the "best team in the area" umm i would have to disagree with that 100%. They rely on one player to help them win the game and that's it. I'm sure that it's a team effort, not just one player. I'm sure by now Marshal is having back problems from carrying that team... and last time i checked they lost to bad axe this year....hmmm you might want to rethink about automatically declaring them "the best team in the area"

The Huron Daily Tribune's Top Ten Final Boys Basketball Poll in my opinion is a joke. I don't want to take anything away from CPS but come on guys are we just going on the records or on who could beat who if matched up aginst each other. Out of the top 5 teams only Ubly played them at there place and won and I would say CPS would struggle with any of the other teams in your top 5. Sure would like to know what others think.

I think CPS has done enough to earn the top spot but I would like to know who all votes. Do all the coaches from the two leagues vote?

You're entitled to your opinion, but the voting process is done by myself, Eddie Fury and coaches from the GTE, GTW and NCTL. Respected coaches who don't have an agenda and from what I've seen, don't push their own teams. I will not be releasing what coaches vote, that's not fair to them. I assure you, they know more than just their own leagues.

You don't want to take anything from CPS? But you in turn call the top ten a joke.

Paul,
I think what you, Eddie and the other coaches do is appreciated by most people. Don't let one comment from an uninformed reader ruin your day.
Much Appreciation for your work.

Ubly the best team in the area? With the best coach and supporting
cast and the best player in the area. Should walk away with the district then right. We will soon find out have to get by Sandusky tonight and that wont be easy.

Best coach in the area is Gainforth followed by Burton for the boys. Al Demot is a lock for best girls coach and maybe best basketball coach period in the area.

Paul, are you saying you have one coach from each league as voters not every coach within each league.

Paul do you think CPS would have a chance to win district 90 if they were in it? Just for the sake of spitited conversation.

I have one coach from each league, I do the same for the girls poll. Out of respect for my coaches, I will not say who they are. I am very appreciative that they took the time each week to be a part of the poll. There are five people who vote. They are myself, Eddie Fury, a coach from the GTW, GTE and NCTL.

Yes, I think CPS would have a chance. It would all depend on the draw. That district is loaded, which makes it so intriguing. It's a very good question.

If Ubly plays like they did last night they will get beat by Harbor Beach by 20 points.

You mean to say Ubly played horrible and Sandusky played great. I thought both teams played well. Sandusky looked better prepared than Ubly kids.

If you thought Ulby played well you must have not seen them play much this year.

Maybe Ubly did not play well because of Sandusky. Ubly is not made of steel that is for sure.

ubly loses to hb in districts for the 3rd time in a row
