The NCTL does not list possition? It looks like they just award a couple kids on each team for being the best on their own squad...

That is what they do.
Not sure why, but that's how it is.

Terrible all-conference make-up. I see that the second and third team were merely one player from each of the five schools. Why give credit to a kid that isn't very good and dis a kid that that perhaps propelled his team to winning a game or two?

BTW: Rice and Dyhe were very good, along with Eric Estrada of Deckerville. Throw in Canfield of USA, Vanderwagen of Revenna...a couple of Nouvel players and your talking a Div1/2 contender!

Who led the area in rushing and touchdowns

The fact the whole Deckerville Oline isn't onthere is kind of a joke. Im not from Deckerville so I'm not biased but they absolutely dominated and I would say position for position that line beats any other NCTL player

Raveena loses to Ishpeming 22-20. They missed a field goal with 8 seconds left. Fulton also loses and Millington. Div 7 final is Hudson vs. Ishpeming.
I'll take Hudson 35-21

It's Andrew Estrada, not Erik.

Very disappointed with the all conference selections. I have to agree that the whole offensive line from Deckerville should have been on the first team. Is there really anyone who believes they didnt dominate every defensive line in the NCTL? Not doing an offense and a defense is a joke as well, and five players on the second team and all honorable mention? Come on. Its too bad some kids got left off the first team or off the list completely because they didnt put positions. Im sure some people are still a little sore because Deckerville came back into the league, but at least the NCTL was represented in a Regional Final.

Well said by Anonymous Nov 22 @ 6:51!! And to the young men who really deserved to be in the selections-you know who are! Keep playing hard because those who really know the game know who are!!

I can see the Dhyse & Rice combo on first team, But come on. To not even make the playoffs and have that many first team picks!
Maybe they should just put all teams players in a hat and draw them out.
This listing is pathetic!

The NCTL is no longer a voted all-conference team. the number of all-conference players are determined by your final league standing and coaches are the ones that nominate the players. So yes there are players that are not on the list that deserve to be but thats the way it is. Great season Deckerville, way to represent the NCTL.
