Tyler Scharf wins Week 2 and overall standings


Tyler Scharf was the winner of this week's Tribune Facebook/Blog Football Contest, sponsored by Tri-County Equipment. Tyler turned in a perfect score of 500 points. Mike Gallagher maintained his overall lead, with another solid effort. There was plenty of movement up and down the leaderboard. Below are the official standings of those who have play all of the weeks and remain eligible for the overall prize of $120. There were a couple of names at the bottom that we either missed or dropped out. If you believe there is a mistake, please contact Paul Adams at padams@hearstnp.com. Mike Gallagher wins Week 1


Mike Gallagher was the big Week 1 winner of the Huron Daily Tribune Facebook/Blog Contest, Presented by Tri-County Equipment.  In a tough week of games, Mike missed just one contest - Montrose's win over Reese. For his efforts, he gets $20 in cold hard cash and is in the overall lead of the contest. Week 1 Football Games


Here are the first week games for the Tribune's Facebook/Blog Football Contest, Presented by Tri County Equipment. This contest is completely different from the one that appears in the paper. The rules are simple. The weekly winner will get $20 in cold hard cash. At the end of nine weeks, there will be a $120 grand prize. In order to qualify for that, everyone MUST play all nine weeks - no exceptions. Also new this year, everyone must enter their picks either on Facebook or the Blog. No emailed picks will be counted - no exceptions. Picks must be entered by 7 p.m. on Thursday.

Football Contest Is Back!

It is now official, the Huron Daily Tribune Sports Facebook/Sports Blog Football Contest is back and is again presented by Tri County Equipment. The weekly prize is $20 and the grand prize is $120. In order to qualify for the $120, you MUST play all nine weeks. The first games will be posted on Monday. The same as last year, this will be a points-based system. The 15 games will combine for a total of 500 points each week. Again, thanks to Tri County Equipment for being our sponsor. PLEASE NOTE: The contest is completely different from the one in the Tribune.
